HUB PROJECT

With a view to expand in production capacity, DGKC has chosen the extreme south of Pakistan. Its Hub, District Lasbella. Hub is located about 30 km in North West of Karachi - the port city and financial hub of Pakistan. Hub is about 1,250 km south of Lahore and about 848 km south of DGK. Plant site is on main highway, RCD road. DGKC is already present in North and Central part of Pakistan.

This more of a strategic expansion will give physical presence in South with better ability to cater that part besides a cutting edge for sea-route exports. Given the present trend of average 5% p.a. volumatric increase in domestic market it is a wise decision to start an exapnsion which will take another 3-3.5 years to pump into the system. This project would be a State Of The Art project. It would be environment friendly and will comply with all the environmental standards. The project is one of its kind, 9,000 tpd single production unit in Pakistan. The upcmoing China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will give a boost to economy and thus will open more horizons for the Company as well. It is said that the most of the benefit from this CPEC will be reaped by Balochistan which would be having more than 35% part of CPEC.

Mining Areas have been taken on lease. Limestone excavation quarry site is within factory. Infrastructure in the area is satisfactory to cater the factory needs.

The plant make will be of European origin. Pyro process is to be obtained from FLSmidth of Denmark. Cement Mills, Coal Mills and Raw Mills are planned to be from Loesche GMBH of Germany. Packing Plant will also be from German Haver & Boecker.”
